Potty Types
There are basically two types of Potty which can be used to train a child
- A standalone potty chair for toddlers which can be a separate chair. There are many options now a days to attract the child like potty chair made of some animal toys or some car.
- A toddler seat is very useful as it can be attached to the top of the toilet so the toddler can easily sit on it having handles to grab it. If using this type of seat, you might also want to get a toddler stool so the child can easily use it to sit on the seat and sit on it comfortably while his legs are resting on the stool giving an easy bowl movement.
For boys its wise to train them in sitting position before going to the next step of learning how to pee standing up. So, its essential to first train them on the seat which is the best option.
The parents should also have a potty seat in every bathroom of their house. The potty seat should also be in your car while travelling long distances. The parents should make sure to stop every 1 or 2 hours for the child to use the potty seat because the child might not want to use the restrooms on the way.
Training Pants.
Disposable Training pants can bought in any store. These pants can help the child to transition from diaper to underwear. These training pants are mostly used in day time. If the child might pee or poop so these are disposable and easily replaceable. If the training pants are dry for few days the parents can use underwear but it also takes some time to get used to it. The best option is that to let the kid Rome free without this diaper and tell me constantly to tell you when ever they feel like pee or poop so potty seat can be used and the child can get used to it. Its bets to ask the doctor before using disposable training pants as s transitional step.
